Dedication (with an important note at the bottom)
Tennis can be a lot of fun, playing the ball back and forth with control and ability. To add to the fun, the original Board of Advisors for EZ-Tennis will play various roles of some of our favorite legendary characters in order for our youngsters to remember us better as we travel across the land helping wonderful tennis kids who will never leave tennis because they can consistently play well. And if we instigate a little literary awareness (even if it's from Star Wars) at the same time, so much the better. I hope we never take ourselves too seriously because this is all about our children finding out tennis is EZ to play and enjoy. But tennis is most fun when it’s EZ, and tennis is really just a vehicle for something far greater: great achievements in life.

First, to those children and adults who have ever wondered if they were an athlete or could ever play a sport well, please don’t give up hope until you try EZ-Tennis. I say to you: tennis is EZ to learn and EZ to play using the EZ Tennis Swing.

Second, to the average athlete who wants an easy outlet to burn some fat and have fun at the same time, I assure you that you do not have to be a gifted athlete to play tennis well.

Ryan Cochran, Larry Miller, famous St. Louis Tennis Pioneer, Oscar, and Mike Miller, who has taught many nationally ranked players himself.
Third, to parents, dads and moms, I say to you that you can not only teach your kids yourself but also build an athletic community in your own home. To those in the inner cities, plentiful of gifted athletes, you will now know a new freedom and enjoy a new sport like never before, building up an army of new stars. You don’t even need a tennis court to start. You can tie a string between two trees and, with a couple of cheap racquets and a couple of balls, teach your child, no matter his or her athletic ability, to enjoy rallying the ball back and forth with ease. Enjoy the benefits of exercise and watching your children doing something well when it’s taught the proper way. Richard Williams was not even an accomplished tennis player, but, deep in the Compton inner-city, using EZ-Tennis as developed by Oscar Wegner, he developed his daughters’ games without traditional tennis instruction. From Oscar’s lessons, then shown on Prime Network (now Fox Sports), Richard saw the ease and simplicity that aligned perfectly with the way the top pros play, which he observed on countless matches on TV. He was wise enough to recognize that EZ-Tennis methodology would help him, and that you did not need a lot of money or professional instruction to develop a player to a high level. A special thanks to Richard Williams and his daughters who proved that every parent could develop good tennis players as well as good people-the most important goal of all. Now it’s time for me to pass it on to all the parents who want to enjoy a new kind of relationship with their children.

Fourth, to the teaching pros who have wondered why such a beautiful sport is not growing in this great country of ours as it once did. Yet it is true that EZ-Swing is bringing thousands of new tennis players here at home, just like it did across the world where Oscar was seen on ESPN International in hundreds of millions of homes. The teaching pros in the US know that there is not a lack of students for the pros, but there is a dearth of good enough instruction that is reflected by the lack of US preeminence in junior tennis. So we welcome all pros to our tennis army, as the Officers in charge of taking advantage of this new technology and developing your area’s tennis to its maximum potential.

Fifth, to the USTA, who has done a wonderful job organizing the Welcome Tennis Centers, and making inroads with the Andy-meet Joe, Jennifer-meet Emily and other wonderful ads calling attention to the beauty of this now easily played sport, I say help is on the way. Twenty million people today play the game once played by forty million Americans. What happened? Instruction that made tennis too difficult for the average person? You will now find out what the rest of the world already knows. We will now find out why tennis is the second most popular sport in Spain; not because there is nothing else to do besides soccer, but because they united around a basic EZ methodology. Through ESPN and Oscar’s book the EZ swing was then passed on to over 170 countries. Now we see scores of overseas top players, including all the Argentinians and Russians, who play the game using the same swing: find it, feel it, and finish! The debate for advanced tennis instruction can wait until later. For now, let’s unite around EZ Tennis instruction at our most basic levels and start the countdown towards 55 million USA players of all ages, all sizes, all races, and most of all, from every city in the United States.

Sixth, to the physical education teachers, to the athletic directors, and to all teachers everywhere who want to inspire children to enjoy exercise, achievement, and self esteem: we are coming. Please join us at this Internet roundtable as we bring EZ Tennis into every school in the United States and overtake bowling as the #1 participation sport in the USA. We will provide you with the tools to get your children excited about physical exercise playing a beautiful sport that teaches sportsmanship, how to better focus using mind and body, partnership, and high values. Those kids strive for dreams to come true, and so often want to do something well and enjoy a sense of community. Tennis is just a vehicle, and we seek to build and ascribe to a wonderful moral code, high values and a sense of honor around our internet roundtable, as did the knights of ancient lore rally one day at Camelot. This is our Camelot. We welcome you to our army as the officers and organizers of this wonderful activity in your area of influence.

Seventh, to the children across the USA who have sought a sense of achievement and feel like they belong to something worthwhile: please join our Tennis Army and find that anyone can learn to play tennis well using the EZ Tennis Swing. You will be the soldiers in Oscar’s Tennis Army, counting anyone who wants to aid our goal of reaching 55 million US active tennis players. Why is 55 million players our goal? Because 52.4 million people in the USA participate in bowling, making it the top sport in the USA. We think everyone should be playing EZ Tennis once they realize they can easily do it, whether with parents, friends or sweethearts. Let’s ally around the EZ Tennis theme. In basketball, the slogan was “Be Like Mike”. When kids learn tennis, let’s make it “Be Like Andy”, “Be Like Serena and Venus”, or “Be Like Andre”, meaning children should learn to play and copy their favorite player just like in any other sport. As John Keller of www.tennis101.com once shared with me, “I never could figure out why today the top 100 men and women all use an open stance and tennis instructors still turn children to the side and hit a closed stance forehand.” That question will never have to be asked again.

Our countdown to 55 million begins in the St. Louis area in honor of the legacy of Dwight Davis, one of the early pioneers of tennis. It will spread around the USA, as Oscar Wegner’s tennis tips have influenced millions of tennis players abroad and called attention to his methodology. I want EZ-tennis.com to be the rallying point for the youth of America and the parents who want their children to find a fun and easy sport to not only exercise with, but to play well and without having to be a great athlete. Or develop the great athlete within. Let’s make the difference in a child’s life forever by letting them play EZ Tennis and never feel like quitting tennis again because it really is EZ and fun when you learn the EZ way.

Important Note: The EZ Tennis CD-ROM sold here is currently our only product, which we will take across the country. Oscar felt that an easy and low cost CD-ROM, made just for everyone, would help develop the grass roots of tennis to levels never reached before. This CD-ROM contains three of the most influential tennis products ever made. It has 22 minutes of Oscar’s Tennis 101 video, the basic Bible for EZ Tennis youth instruction and a reminder for advanced players of the true basics of the game. Second, it has an interactive 256 page book with added video tips that will play on any computer demonstrating the principles of EZ Tennis. This book, first written by Oscar in 1990, was taken to Russia and other countries and changed tennis coaching forever. An amazon.com review written in 1997 sums it up best about the importance of Oscar’s book How to Play Tennis in Two Hours.

“In my view, this is the most important book on stroke mechanics ever written. It breaks down the myths of traditional tennis instruction and details the techniques that good players have always used. It teaches a logical and efficient way to play that works with your body rather than fights it. If you read this book, you'll find out why some of the things commonly taught on the tennis court simply don't feel right.”

Third, it contains 39 video tips that will amaze you at how EZ tennis really is and fun to watch when you see it through the EZ Swing methodology. Fourth, 12 basic lessons that demystify the learning of this beautiful sport and make it as easy as strolling in the park. It’s well over a $50 value from Oscar’s collection. This EZ Swing CD-ROM is available to everyone for only $24 on this website, the lowest price anywhere in the world. A data DVD, with a higher video resolution, playable in any computer DVD player will be available shortly for only a few dollars more.

Whether you are a pro, a teacher, an amateur, or just a person who knows that tennis is EZ and fun, we ask you to take a second look at modern tennis methodology through the EZ Tennis Swing and join our countdown towards 55 million players. Oscar is our greatest friend in making this goal happen. Let’s honor the legacy he and other great tennis pioneers set before us in making the game accessible to everyone across the world. This site is hereby dedicated as the internet roundtable for all tennis players not only in the USA, but also across the world to meet and share in our joy and love of the game. We ask all EZ Tennis Swingers no matter where they live to join our Tennis Army. We want it to be fun for kids most of all, and so you will see us play to our nicknames in our bios. Hail to the King, for as in Star Wars, we officers of this mission are the Jedi Knights of the Tennis Court and forever more, may our army greet each other with:

May the Swing Be With You.
